The Opportunity: Senior AI Engineer

Healthcare is adopting AI at record speed, and we need an engineer who can guide that transition. As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll steer our move from promising concepts to production-ready solutions. Expect to take ideas from 0→1, crafting generative-AI features that feel intuitive and dependable to clinicians.

Along the way, performance, security, and cost efficiency remain top of mind, and you’ll design for each from the outset. Research insights won’t sit on a shelf—you’ll distill them into clean, maintainable code. Close collaboration with product managers and designers ensures every release addresses real clinical workflows. Ultimately, the standards you set will define the quality bar for our entire AI stack.

What You’ll Do

  • Ship AI agents end-to-end: integrate existing infra or invent new pipelines; whatever gets the job done.

  • Iterate relentlessly: run experiments (A/B tests, behavioral analytics) to squeeze every drop of value from user feedback.

  • Translate research into code: pick the right models, design rigorous evals, optimize for speed and cost, monitor in production.

  • Own 0 to 1 breakthroughs: push boundaries on creative AI tooling and set the bar for what’s possible

  • Co-author the roadmap: partner with product & design while retaining IC ownership of the technical stack and long-term AI architecture.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years software engineering, including 2+ years building AI systems (1+ year in generative AI is a big plus).

  • Fluency in Java, Python, or TypeScript.

  • Track record designing and scaling systems that serve multiple business lines.

  • Comfort collaborating across disciplines, and driving clarity when things get fuzzy.

Compensation

Base salary: $175,000 – $250,000. Total compensation may also include stock options. Total package calibrated to your skills, experience, and the impact you’re ready to make.
